Symonds Yat is primarily known for its canoeing, rock climbing and hiking, but I associate Symonds Yat with their Wye Valley butterfly farm. The inspiration behind this bottle comes from Entomology (the scientific study of insects), and the art of collecting and preserving butterflies. The label is printed both sides - butterfly on the one side, and information about the wine on the reverse, with the butterfly magnified behind the white wine - I've always had a fascination with the way light shines through glass and making the most of a clear liquid...
