Hand Lettering.
I’ve been hand lettering now for around 10 years, unofficially probably a lot longer, and it’s what I turn to whenever I’m bored, anxious, sad (angry lettering is also a favourite, I once did a whole project called “What My Ex Said”) or even just to relax. Yoga and meditation work for some people but hand lettering and true crime podcasts is what helps keep me zen!
Here is a selection of a few of my favourites from the past year or so. All created using ProCreate on an iPad Pro. “This Love is Glowing in the Dark” should be featured in the Yearbook of Lettering later this year. I also like to take part in 36 Days of Type every year and I took on Aurelie Maron’s Lettering Challenge last year (Focus on the Doughnut, Not on the Hole) and won “Most Creative” in the competition.

Previous hand lettering has been featured in a Scroobius Pip music video (You Will See Me), a huge 2m permanent black board in a very popular Hereford burger joint (The Beefy Boys) and across a tattoo shop window as signage (Studio 100, Hereford).
